After an ASW exercise with Scamp south of Manila Bay, Carpenter arrived at Subic Bay on 24 September to have her ECM antenna repaired. Departing Hawaii on 2 July 1962, the destroyer arrived at Yokosuka 10 days later. In fact, a profitable health regimen isn’t complete with out rest days.
